When we bring a dog into our life, there are certain things that we should automatically expect. If we were to pull aside 100 different dog owners and ask them about their furry friends, they would likely give us 100 different reasons why they are so special. Those reasons might be quite different from each other but when you look under the surface, there will be some similarities as well.
First of all, dogs are going to provide us with a lot of love, and they don’t ask for much in return. Of course, we would want to make sure we were caring for all of their needs along the way. This would include feeding them good food, giving them plenty of exercise and scratching them behind the ears when they are sitting beside us. In fact, the only thing that a dog will ask in return is that we show them a little bit of affection from time to time. It is the affection, however, that can sometimes result in an uncomfortable situation.
Dogs may love us, but they don’t have the concept of personal space down to a tee. In fact, it seems as if they invade our personal space at any opportunity. Of course, this isn’t something that we complain about and it is actually quite adorable that they love us so much. It is what makes owning a dog so special.
