There are many people who may be special in our lives but our grandparents are always going to hold that certain place in our heart. From the time we are very young, our memories of our grandparents are some of the most precious that we have and that is exactly the way that it should be. As we get older, we often look to our grandparents as a source of wisdom as well.
The thing about grandparents is the fact that we often look at them differently then we look at our parents. In many cases, we look up to our grandparents and we continue to do so throughout our entire life. At some point or another, however, we come to recognize that all of our admiration that we held for our grandparents was absolutely the right thing to do. Sometimes it is difficult to believe that our grandparents were our age at one time and had many of the same feelings that we have. As they get older, they take on that adult persona but inside of every grandparent is a young child that is just waiting to get out.
