Most of us recognize that mothers are willing to do almost anything for the comfort and well-being of their children. That especially true when the child is just a little baby and they rely on the mother for everything from changing her diaper to feeding. We often see them when we are out and about, caring for their children without a word of complaint and it is a beautiful thing to see.
For one new mother, named Brier Lusia Mcqueen, caring for her baby while she was out to eat at a restaurant. She was getting ready to be served her food bought her eight-week-old son, Jaxon, was hungry and begin crying. She really didn’t know what to do and most brothers would have probably excused themselves and onto a private location but she had just ordered her food.
Most brothers will be able to appreciate the door about that this young mother was it. She had ordered her food and didn’t want to skip out without paying the restaurant, but at the same time, she couldn’t ignore the crying of her little baby. That is when she decided to feed her young saw that the table. She made sure that she was, and she fed her young son. This is a real expression of a mother’s love and it is something that she cared for in the best way she knew how.
When her meal arrives soon afterward, she already had her hands full caring for her son so she could cut it. An elderly lady, however, came over to her at that point. She said the following: “I was scared, thinking she was gonna tell me to put my boob away.” As it turns out, something else happened.
The stranger who came to her table did not reprimand her for breast-feeding public. She started cutting up her food for her instead.
“What a good mama you are, we can’t have your food getting cold now can we?” the woman said.
It was quite a turn of events and she end up being able to feed her baby and to eat her breakfast as well without it getting cold. She was so touched by the incident that she went on Facebook and posted the following:
“Today was the first time I went out for breakfast alone with my 8 week old son, I had just received my breakfast and hot chocolate when Jaxon started crying wanting his booby so of course I fed him, after a few minutes this older lady walked up to me, I was scared, thinking she was gonna tell me to put my boob away, instead she starts cutting up my breakfast for me and said “what a good mama you are, we can’t have your food getting cold can we.”
In today’s world, it is quite unusual for somebody to show this level of caring. Most people don’t understand the difficulties that mothers face but this woman obviously did.
Her reaction to the compassion of this elderly stranger is a reminder that acts of kindness really matter in this world. If you happen to be out this week and see someone in need, take the time to help them as well.
