Sometimes, however, we hear some good news and it can really life our spirity when we do. This story is a perfect example. It involves an act of kindness that just came out of the blue. When this father was out to eat with his 3 year old son, he noticed a couple smiling and staring at him.

He didn’t know why they were doing it but when he got out to the car, it became apparent. Kevon had been enjoying breakfast with his son Kevon Jr. at a local restaurant in Willoughby, Ohio. He was wondering why an older couple was staring when he and his 3 year old son was out to eat.

It read:

“Today your meal is on my wife and me. Enjoy that baby boy as long as God intends. Keep doing what you’re doing. The Masons.”

They left cash for the meal along with the note. It really meant a lot to him because he grew up without a dad.

“There’s a lot of guys I know that aren’t taking care of their kids,” Kevon said. “To show that not all of us are out here being gang bangers, some of us are out here being fathers.”

Kevon is more than a good father, he is a role model for other children. He quit one of his jobs to volunteer as a coach for a community football team. He tries to set a proper example for the children.
