Britain’s Got Talent Dancer On The Road To Recovery After Simon Cowell Pays For Her Surgery

I don’t think there is a person out there who is not familiar with Simon Cowell. It seems as if he is absolutely everywhere, judging all of the popular talent shows on the telly. One of the more popular of the shows is Britain’s Got Talent, and he can be seen sitting on the sidelines, often offering an insult here or there.

Sometimes you need to look beyond the person that you see on the outside in order to know who they truly are. Most of us consider Simon to be rather brash and we might even enjoy that aspect of his personality. As you are about to see, he is also someone that is quite kind as he did something amazing for this young lady.

Julia Charlie won the Golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent but she needed an operation. She recently revealed on the show that the operation was successful but she also revealed something that was a shock to many people. It seems as if Simon was the one that paid for the operation, and he did so out of the kindness of his heart. If it wouldn’t have been for his kindness in paying for her operation, the 15-year-old dancer would have seen her dancing career cut short.

Julia suffers from scoliosis, a back condition that causes the spine to be curved. Because of this condition, the spine was crushing her lung.

She had been self-conscious about her body and she had never shown her scoliosis until she did so in the tweet earlier this year.

Simon Cowell had told her that they would make sure she was all right during her audition. Now that she has had 2 operations, she is back on her feet and back on the dance floor.

After the first operation, she tweeted: “Nine days post op and I’m dancing already, it was a long bumpy road to recovery but I did it! Second op tomorrow #strong #fighter #scoliosis.”

After the second round of treatment, Julia provided an update when she said: “Second surgery was a success! Now on the road to recovery. Thank you @SimonCowell.”

The operation was done in America and it was expected to cost £78,000 along with travel expenses. Julia had already made it to the finals with her dance group.

Simon referred to her as uplifting and positive. She had been diagnosed scoliosis at six weeks of age but was always embarrassed to show it. It was then that she had a realization:

“But then I got on stage and just did it. I realised I shouldn’t care what people think. This experience has changed me as a person, I feel better in myself.”

We wish you all the best.
