Some people have dogs because they want a companion and other people have dogs because they want a protector or perhaps even because they are a special service dog that performs a very specific task. Regardless of why we have a dog, however, we would all have to admit that they are performing important jobs for each and every one of us. We come to depend on them for what they do and sometimes, we couldn’t even imagine life without them.
When a dog has the job of working in a specific field, they are often expected to do it in the best way possible. In some cases, they may help with some type of farming duty and that is especially true of some dogs who watch after and guard a herd of sheep. Some dogs are specifically bred for that purpose and we may marvel when we see them funneling the sheep into a specific area and doing it almost instinctively. As you are about to see, however, not every dog is quite the same.
When the owners of this pooch went out to check on him during “working hours” it seems as if he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He wasn’t watching the sheep as he was supposed to do but he was actually taking advantage of their height. Apparently, he had already bonded with the sheep and had a fairly good relationship with them. That is how he was able to get away with what he did.
