Young Moose Given A Helping Hand To Cross Road And Reunite With Mom

How far would you go to help an animal? If you happen to have an animal in your family, you already realize that they are worth every effort that you could possibly make. We feed them the best food, sometimes even giving them some table scraps because we just can’t resist their sad face. We might also provide them with a warm place to sleep, medical care when necessary, and plenty of love every day. Of course, our dog or cat gives us back much more than we could ever hope to give to them. It’s something that makes life worth living for many families.

At times, we may also have an opportunity to show how much we love animals by helping an animal we don’t know. That was the case in Clam Gulch, Alaska when a woman named Andrea Bock was driving along, and suddenly, she was stuck in traffic. There was a moose that was trying to cross the highway but unfortunately, her young calf was so exhausted that she couldn’t get over the guard rail. The mother was anxious because she was separated from her young one and traffic had stopped, watching the entire event unfold in front of them.

This could have gone on for quite some time and the calf did try to get over the guard rail for about 20 minutes but finally, somebody decided to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Bock had a conversation with the dodo, saying that there was a man named Joe Tate who was also in his car after coming home from a fishing trip.

What he did would’ve been dangerous, as the mother moose was distraught and she is quite large. They decided to distract her by driving a trailer in front of her and Joe got out to pick up the calf and put her on the other side of the guard rail. It was one of those moments that helped to restore our faith in humanity and to show just how far we are willing to go to help the animals around us.
