Woman In 30s Goes Through Menopause Then Gives Birth To Identical Triplets

We sometimes have some rather unusual situations and we try our best to get through them and move on with life. Hollie Gambrel was one of those individuals and at 32 years of age, she had been trying for at least eight months to get pregnant. Unfortunately, she and her husband, David, were unable to conceive and when they went for an exam, they told her that Hollie was premenopausal. As you can imagine, that came as quite a shock to the 32-year-old woman, but she was determined to be a mother. She raised $30,000 for a fertility treatment and family and friends got together to help them through that ordeal.

What ended up happening was that these parents to be from Texas used an anonymous egg donor so that she could get pregnant. In September 2019, they got the rather interesting news that the fertilized egg was split into three. It is very rare for this to occur naturally, and in fact, the odds are only one in every 200 million that it will take place! A little over a year later, and Rory, Ryder, Rhett are one year old and their mother, who is a teacher, is absolutely thrilled with the situation.

She admits that she finds it difficult to believe she has three babies and she wants other mothers to know that there are always options. At first, she was heartbroken, but the couple saved and they were eventually able to afford the IVF treatment that ended up working out so well for them.

A donor was selected in 2019 because she had similar characteristics to Hollie. She was blonde and loved running. There were 29 eggs but only one embryo was transferred in August 2019. A blood test showed that she was pregnant and from there, it went 33 weeks until they had a planned C-section and the babies are doing very well. Of course, it’s busy being parents to triplets, but I guarantee they would have it no other way.
