Her Husband Walked In Crying His Eyes Out, Then She Sees What He’s Holding In His Hand

Sometimes, we might be having the most normal day but before it is over, something happens that totally turns things around. That is what happened in the Garrett household, and it was something that they decided to share with the world on Facebook. It was a day that changed their lives.

It started when Brittany Garrett was preparing for the day and she saw her husband standing in the doorway. Christopher had tears in his eyes as he was holding their young son. As would be the case with most people, she first started to think that something was wrong but he stopped her to assure her than things were actually going quite right. In fact, it was something wonderful that had made him well up with tears.

Christopher had quite an experience before this day came to be. He was a war veteran and was wounded in combat. He had gone through rehabilitation because his pelvis was shattered but he still walked with a limp. They were getting along fine, and were living their lives just like anyone else but, from time to time, there were things that he found difficult to do. One of those difficult things was when he was mowing the lawn, and it seems that it didn’t go without notice.

Christopher mowed his own lawn every week but he used a push mower to do it. It took him quite some time to get it done. The morning when his wife saw him crying, however, was the morning they got an anonymous gift.

This is Brittany and Christopher Garrett along with their son.

Christopher was serving in the military in Iraq when he was wounded. His recovery is coming along but there are still some things he has a difficult time doing.

When Christopher found this note, he was overcome with gratitude. It was from an anonymous giver, but they wanted to thank Christopher for his service.

What was the gift?

It was a riding lawn mower!

Christopher had a difficult time walking behind his mower each week but this gift would help to make things easier.

They aren’t sure who gave it to them but it was an awesome gift. Brittany wrote this on Facebook:

“Thank you whoever you are! You don’t know how much pain this is going to save him from!”
