College Student Gasps In Disbelief While Changing Bedding for First Time in Two Years

A bizarre photo of a mattress in China had a lot of folks in an uproar. The mattress belonged to a female university student in her second year.

In the photo, we see a massive round hole right smack dab in the middle of the mattress that’s big enough to accommodate a kitchen sink! But, if the young lady didn’t decide to change her bedding that day, she would have likely never known it was there.

The student was confused as to how the hole could have formed. But, when people online saw it, many commented, offering the most logical explanation. They pointed out that the hole was created due to her not cleaning her within the two years she’s had it.

While most folks notice when their mattress is no longer flat if it’s not cleaned, checked, and rotated regularly, the middle of a mattress, or where the user usually sleeps, will begin to sag.

The photo also stirred up an intense debate about the amount of independence many university students enjoy these days compared to their age.

A lot of people were critical of the student not just because she wore out her mattress with poor hygiene habits, but they also criticized her independence with one user saying:

Meanwhile, other commentators cut the young woman some slack, noting how dorm pillows and mattresses were notoriously thin and more likely to wear out than most bedding.

What do you think about the young lady’s mattress situation? Does this reflect poorly on her character? Is it an indictment of the freedoms students enjoy today? Let us know your thoughts, and please be so kind as to pass this story along to your family and friends?
