There are many problems that we may face at school but perhaps one of the most difficult things we may face is a problem with bullying. It’s an issue that has been ongoing for many years and it doesn’t matter how much schools try to prevent it from happening, it is going to continue to be a problem for many years to come. Perhaps the most difficult part about bullying, aside from the trauma that it can present to the children who are suffering from it, is the fact that not many people know how to handle the situation. Do they punish the student that is bullying or do they take other measures?
This question recently came to mind when a young girl named Re’Onna was caught bullying another girl at school. When the father found out about it, he knew that he had to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Her father, Randy, wanted to do more than get her to stop bullying, he wanted to teach her a lesson. You see, he was bullied as a teenager and he didn’t want his daughter to put the same pressure on someone else. That is when he came up with an idea that many parents are praising as being one of the best things he could possibly do.
Randy loved his daughter, despite the fact that she was a bully. He knew that she loved shopping and he had planned on taking her on a shopping trip. When he found out that he had a bully in the house, however, he knew that she didn’t deserve it so he did the next best thing, he spent all of the money on the other girl, Ryan.
Both of the girls had difficulties, with one it was the punishment because of bullying, and with the other, it was suffering as a result of the bullying. This may not treat all of the problems that are associated with bullying but it sure did teach Re’Onna a lesson and helped one other girl to feel a little better.
