A pervasive rumor swirling about on social media suggests that Keanu Reeves and his long-time girlfriend Alexandra Grant have taken the next step in their relationship. The proposal allegedly happened after Reeves conversed with his good friend, actress Sandra Bullock.

Keanu and Alexandra have been together now for several years, but they’ve yet to release a statement addressing the validity of this current rumor.

However, it’s reported that Keanu was in Los Angles on March 31, shopping for diamond rings.[1]
A friend of Reeve’s told OK! Magazine:
Keanu popped the question after they returned home from Europe, where he was filming back-to-back movies, and she was there the whole time to support him.”
The fried continued, “That’s when he realized he can’t live without her. It was a heart-to-heart with Sandra (Bullock) that finally inspired him to put a ring on it.”

Another close source to Keanu explained:
“Keanu’s been to hell and back but now he finally has this wonderful woman to share his life with. Alexandra is a huge light in his life. Everyone can see how she fills him with joy.”
If the rumors are true and the pair are indeed engaged, don’t hold your breath on them formally announcing the news. For over the last four years, the two have kept details about their relationship under wraps. News of their intimate relationship finally broke in 2019, but the pair had been together for some time by then.

Actress Jennifer Tilly, a close friend of the pair, explained how the two had been dating for some time, even before the public became aware. As shown told Page Six[2]:
“I remember a couple years ago, about a year and a half ago, [Alexandra] said, ‘Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend’ and I’m like, ‘Wait. What? What? What?’ She was so cool I thought she was a lesbian.”
Jennifer added, “It’s really astonishing to me how in the last five months, all of a sudden, she goes to an event with him and everybody goes insane, like, ‘It’s his new girlfriend,’ because she had gone to a lot of events with him. It’s just suddenly surfaced that he’s been dating her for several years.”
