An adorable little girl with Down Syndrome wished to give her new adoptive mom a huge smile, and fortunately, the lucky new parent managed to capture the heartwarming moment on camera. The video quickly went viral, earning thousands of reactions after it was posted to the National Down Syndrome Adoption Facebook page. The 8-month-old, only known as “Baby H” (as she referred to protect her privacy during the adoption process), now lives in Texas with her family.

The adorable baby is hanging out on her blanket with her adoptive mom when she’s asked how her day’s going — and out of nowhere, her face lights up with the biggest grin you’ve ever seen!
“When Baby H was almost eight months old, she woke up one morning with this brand-new smile,” her mom said to The Daily Mail. “We noticed it several times and realized she was showing us a cheesy grin–we laughed and laughed every time she did it and she just loved the attention.”

Her mom also mentions in the interview how she noticed the little girl could smile on cue. In the next part, her mom says, “Ooh, I love your new smile! That is the cutest! Can you show me again?”
Baby H, of course, obliges her mom as she gives her a huge smile once again. You hear her mom say, “Oh my goodness Iike that new smile!”

During an interview with the Daily Mail, the mom remade that her laughter was in reaction to just how touched she was by her baby’s fantastic smile.
“You can tell by my laughter how much we adore this smile and she actually only smiled like this for a couple of weeks so this video is a treasure for us.”
“We hope that all the viewers will see the beauty that lies in people with Down Syndrome,” she continued. “Although a Down Syndrome diagnosis can be scary, the reality is that your child has a purpose and will be able to live a full and happy life.”
