Although there are many stories that have been told throughout the ages, one of the stories that is best known is that of Adam and Eve. Our first human parents had a wonderful prospect laid out before them of living on earth in perfect conditions and raising a human family. Unfortunately, they didn’t stay true to their original promise to be faithful, so when Eve was offered the forbidden fruit, she ate it and later shared it with Adam.
Although they were pure when they were first created, they soon fell into a time of darkness in which they felt shame and guilt. It is the story that we have heard many times, because it is one of the first that is recorded in the Bible. Many of us have pictured it in our mind but what if you could see it played out before you as a musical performance? That was what happened when Zurcaroh, a dance group was on stage to do a routine on America’s Got Talent.
Zurcaroh hails from Australia and was established in 2009 by a choreographer and Brazilian dancer, Peterson da Cruz Hora. They tell stories through gymnastics, dance and aerobics. They made it through the first round after Tyra Banks hit the golden buzzer and they went straight into the quarterfinals.
That is when we see them performing this Adam and Eve dance performance
The group choreographs this story perfectly and, according to Judge Mel B, it was ‘breathtaking’.
The choreography really tells the back story but it is the stunts, including flips and acrobatics that really cause the audience to love what they are seeing. Some of these performers are as young as eight years old!
The entire performance is fantastic but at the end, there is something that is above and beyond.
Zurcaroh was praised for their performance by every judge. Mel B was overwhelmed with the storyline and the costumes. Heidi Klum said that they were ready for Vegas. Even Simon Cowell, who is usually reserved was floored by their performance and said it was one of the best yet ever seen.
The group has seen an overwhelming number of supporters come forward after their performance.
We have to agree that it was wonderfully done and we can see why they got the golden buzzer on the first round. You can watch their performance in this stunning video:
