Pregnant Waitress Almost Faints After Getting A Note From A Cop

Most of us realize how difficult it can be to serve others. The amount of pay that you receive for doing so is often very low and you rely on people to give you tips in order to get by.

That includes a 23-year-old waitress named Courtney English. She was eight months pregnant at the time that this story took place and was doing a good job at waitressing, but it was still difficult to make ends meet.

Courtney worked at the Lamppost Diner in New Jersey and on this particular evening, she was serving a County police officer. When the police officer walked in, he saw that she was pregnant and was having a difficult time standing on her feet.

Ask anyone that is pregnant and they will tell you that being on your feet for an extended amount of time can be difficult.

Courtney didn’t have much conversation with the police officer but she thinks that he probably overheard her saying it was her first baby to someone else.

When she whenever to pick up his bill off of the table, she saw that he had left a tip. His bill was $8.75 but he left a $100 tip and then wrote a message on the receipt.

It isn’t only the big tip that is taking people by surprise, it is also the kind of message that he gave to this young waitress. Apparently, he had seen her struggling while working so he just told her to enjoy her first because she would never forget it.

Courtney said that she is grateful for his kindness and she always feels it’s a blessing to come across people who show that degree of empathy for the situations others are in.
