Woman Creates Gown For A Ball But When She Spins It Transforms Beautifully

It doesn’t matter who we are, we are going to have some type of talent that other people are going to find surprising. Perhaps you have the ability to sing beautifully or maybe you can dance but in either case, it may be something that you do for family and friends when the opportunity arises. Many of us have talents that we are aware of but we may also have talents that hide underneath the surface. That was the case with Ivy Thompson.

Ivy was going to a masquerade ball in Seattle and she decided she was going to do something incredible for it. She wanted a gown that was going to look like it was straight out of a fairytale but what she wanted didn’t exactly exist. That is when she decided to create the dress on her own and when she was finished, she had something that would absolutely amaze other people.

The funny thing is that Ivy didn’t have any special training in sewing before she created the design. Her mother and grandmother enjoyed sewing but she never took it up to the extent that they did. It is then that she was inspired with a design from Disney. She was at a performance of Cinderella and thought that she would create a gown that would transform into a butterfly with only a few movements. She had a lot of work ahead of her.

Ivy put a snap panel on the front and some laces on the back of the dress and the concept was ready to go. All she had to do was pull the cord and her silvery dress would turn into a monarch butterfly. Since she is spinning when she does it the transformation looks as if it is magic.
