There are many things to look forward to when it comes to our wedding but perhaps one of the most celebrated events is the first dance. The couple is introduced and they take the dance floor as man and wife for the first time. As they stand before their friends and family, they look at each other and they do the dance that was likely practiced many times before. At that moment, it seems as if they are the only people in the world.
Some people do a traditional dance but for Stephanie and Jeremiah, they wanted to do something a little different. When they got on the dance floor, they decided to use some inspiration from one of their favorite movies, ‘Dirty Dancing’. When they actually started dancing, the guests got a lot more than what they could’ve hoped for. It was a lively performance that really got the reception going.
Some people may have had an idea what they could expect when the song ‘The Time of My Life’ began playing over the loudspeakers. If you listen carefully, you can hear the crowd respond immediately. Perhaps they thought that it was just going to be an average, run-of-the-mill dance but they got something that was good enough for a movie.
As Stephanie and Jeremiah began dancing on the dance floor, you could tell that they had a lot of confidence. It was choreographed perfectly after the dance performed in the movie by Baby and Johnny. Everybody was on their feet and by the time they got to the big finish, which was the lift, it all came together perfectly.
This was more than a dance at a wedding, it is something that is going to be remembered for many years to come. The guests at the reception are walking away with a great memory of a young couple dancing but for the young couple, it is something that they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
